Business Key Holder/Alarm Registration

The Sheriff’s Office periodically updates the business key holder and alarm system information to make sure we have up-to-date information, in case of an emergency.  We are requesting all commercial businesses to submit up-to-date key holder and alarm system information. This information allows deputies and emergency services, responding to calls at your business, access to contact information of key holders. Access to this information is restricted to the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency services.

Businesses that have alarm systems need to register and provide information concerning their alarm system.

Registered key holders should live locally and be able to respond to the property in the event something should happen such as burglary, fire, vandalism or open unsecured doors.

Click here to download and print a Business Key Holder/Alarm Registration form (PDF). This is a fillable form that you can print then FAX, deliver, mail or email to the Sheriff's Office.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to view the file.

Business Key Holder/Alarm forms can also be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office located 819 Matson Drive, Marion.

If you prefer, you can call the Sheriff's Office and speak to an on duty dispatcher and provide them with the information. Please call 276-782-4056 and select Option 1.
